One of the earliest mackerel sharks, Otodus obliquus were around from approximately 60 to 37.5 million years ago. With their fossilized teeth as one of the only remaining clues to their existence, scientists have deduced that these sharks ranged in length from 30 to 40 feet long! Otodus obliquus was one of the top predators of its time and these teeth show why measuring up to 4 inches in length. These specimens tend to measure in the 2 to 3 inch length and make a great gift or souvenir for any shark enthusiast.
