Own a tiny little shrimp. It's kind of amazing!

This little crustacean is an East Asian freshwater river prawn (Macrobrachium nipponense), preserved forever in a clear block of resin. Native to freshwater habitats throughout East Asia, these prawns spend their days doing what prawns do best: scuttling around the bottom and looking remarkably strange up close.

Because the specimen is visible from every angle, you can get a good look at all the tiny legs, antennae, and other shrimpy details that are usually much harder to appreciate. It makes a great little natural history specimen, teaching tool, desk companion, or gift for someone who could use a permanently preserved prawn in their life.

The resin block measures approximately 1 1/2" square × 1/2" thick and comes boxed with a small organza bag, ready for gifting.

As with all real specimens, size, shape, coloration, and positioning will vary slightly. We'll make sure you get a particularly nice little shrimp.

All orders ship same or next business day with exception to oversized items. Those items will be identified in the description (Items such as large taxidermy, skulls or exceedingly heavy minerals).
