2020 was one of the most difficult years for a lot of us. For Paxton Gate, it was a year of challenges, unexpected disasters and constant worry. We were fortunate enough to pull through even with the odds stacked against us. Inspired by an ongoing year of floods, fire and plague; we commissioned this design by the talented Megan Lees. Here’s a bit more about her:
Megan lees was born with a strong urge to create art with early influences of nature and the spiritual world. Her passion made its mark in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and where she currently resides in San Francisco, California.
Megan’s working in themes centered on the symbolism of duality, she depicts the fragile relationship between man and animal constructing work that channels life's delicate relationship with beauty and its eventual decay.
Upon receiving her BFA from The Academy of Art University San Francisco, Megan has curated gallery art shows, auctioned her pieces to charity events, created art events by connecting artists, organizations, and companies, painted murals on various businesses, and sells work in many SF based local retailers as well as online.
