The stick bug's name is derived from the Ancient Greek phasma, meaning an apparition or phantom, referring to the resemblance of many species to sticks or leaves. Their natural camouflage makes them difficult for predators to detect, but many species have a secondary line of defense in the form of startle displays, spines or toxic secretions. This beautiful specimen is adorned with dreamy pink wings hidden beneath it's subdued body.
Ethical sourcing is our number one priority. All of our taxidermy, skulls, bones, sea life and other natural science specimens have met our rigorous standards. See our "about us" section for more information or contact us with specific question.
All insects and Butterflies vary slightly in size and shape. You will receive a high quality specimen of the selected item but not the exact one pictured.
