This striking sphere could be our new favorite mineral. The cool and hot pinks mingling with the stark contrast of black is just so perfect it's hard for us to accurately express our love for it. This beautiful sphere is Rhodochrosite. But what is it? Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral that ranges in color from light pink to bright red. It is found in a small number of locations worldwide where other manganese minerals are usually present. It's usually found in differing shades of pink with a few black veins crossing it's surface. The black is due to the presence of some form of manganese oxides. In any case, we're in love with it.

According to metaphysics: Rhodochrosite is a powerful love stone that helps to heal the heart and bring emotional balance. It can also help one access their higher self and develop compassion and understanding. The rhodochrosite crystal is an excellent stone for meditation and can promote spiritual growth.
