Travertine is what happens when water, minerals, and a whole lot of time decide to work on an art project together.

A type of limestone, travertine forms around mineral springs and other places where calcium carbonate-rich water makes its way to the surface. As the water evaporates and releases carbon dioxide, it leaves behind layer after layer of mineral deposits. Over time, those layers build up into the beautifully banded stone you see here.

Cut into a slice and polished, all of that geological handiwork is put on full display, revealing natural patterns, subtle color variations, and tiny cavities created during the stone's formation. No two pieces are exactly alike, which is part of what makes them so cool.

All orders ship same or next business day with exception to oversized items. Those items will be identified in the description (Items such as large taxidermy, skulls or exceedingly heavy minerals).
