Native to Africa and the Middle East, these animals are desert pros. They can go ages without drinking water, pulling moisture from the plants they eat like it’s some kind of survival life hack.

They usually hang out in herds, which gives them safety in numbers, but if predators get too close, those horns aren’t just for show. An oryx will absolutely throw down if it has to. Despite living in some of the harshest places on Earth, they always look calm, collected, and ready for a photoshoot.
