It doesn't get much cooler than a ram skull. Not only are these super "metal", they are absolutely fascinating. Rams have a thick neck, sturdy legs, and a wide chest. Their horns are curved, and they can be up to two feet long. The skeletal structure of the ram is similar to other sheep, with a strong backbone, ribs, and shoulder blades. Rams are powerful animals and can be quite aggressive, making them difficult to handle.
In ancient times, A ram's skull might have been worn to show the patronage of, or devotion to, a deity. For a Greek or an Etruscan, a ram's-head pendant may have been an exotic, “Oriental” magical amulet, a talisman of protection, one that symbolized the power or knowledge of Egypt, the Punic world, or the Near East. Depictions of the ancient Egyptian God, Amun Ra showed him having a Ram's head, a creature revered for virility. And in Scandinavia, Thor has Rams pulling his chariot illustrating strength, just to name a few.
