The tibia, also known as the shinbone, is the larger and stronger of the two bones in the lower leg. It bears most of the body’s weight and forms the main connection between the knee and the ankle. The top of the tibia articulates with the femur at the knee, while the bottom forms part of the ankle joint, helping with movement and stability. Along with the fibula, the tibia provides support, balance, and structure to the lower leg, making it a crucial component of the body’s framework.
Human Bone Laws & Information:
In short, it is perfectly legal to possess and sell human bones in the United States. There are a few exceptions to this: a few states have banned import and export, and of course, any archaeological resources protected by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
