The fibula is the slender bone of the lower leg, running parallel to the larger tibia. While it doesn’t bear much weight, it provides important stability to the ankle and support for muscles that control foot and leg movement. The top of the fibula connects near the knee, and the bottom forms the outer part of the ankle, helping to stabilize the joint. Along with the tibia, the fibula plays a key role in balance, movement, and the overall structure of the lower leg, making it an essential part of the body’s framework.

In short, it is perfectly legal to possess and sell human bones in the United States. There are a few exceptions to this: a few states have banned import and export, and of course, any archaeological resources protected by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
