The femur, or thigh bone, is the longest and strongest bone in the human body. It connects the hip to the knee, supporting the weight of the body while allowing walking, running, and jumping. The head of the femur fits into the hip socket, forming a ball-and-socket joint that enables a wide range of motion, while the distal end articulates with the tibia and patella at the knee. As a major structural component of the leg, the femur provides stability, strength, and leverage, making it essential for both movement and balance.
Human Bone Laws & Information:
In short, it is perfectly legal to possess and sell human bones in the United States. There are a few exceptions to this: a few states have banned import and export, and of course, any archaeological resources protected by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
