It’s hard to grasp just how big the Triceratops actually was until you see its skull in person. Let’s put it this way—it was bigger than your car. Standing next to it made us feel extremely small but also enraptured by this prehistoric titan. An adult Triceratops could reach 30 feet in length and 10 feet in height. While that is absolutely massive, its weight was what truly blew our minds. This horned behemoth could weigh up to 6–12 tons! For reference, the average school bus weighs between 5–18 tons. It’s really hard to fathom something that big stomping around and thriving, but Earth’s past is full of giants that roamed the landscape. Triceratops was just one of the biggest of those titans.

Considering you probably don’t have room for a complete Triceratops skull in your house (unless you live in an airport hangar), this mini Triceratops skull is really the next best thing. Seeing as there are only about 50 complete skulls out there, it would be kind of difficult to get your hands on one—and it wouldn’t exactly fit on your desk.
