Geese raised as livestock.

Domestic geese (Anser anser domesticus) are descendants of the wild Greylag Goose, with humans domesticating them thousands of years ago for meat, eggs, feathers, and, surprisingly, security. Geese are highly territorial and have excellent eyesight, which is why they have historically been used as noisy, angry little alarm systems.

Like other birds, geese have lightweight skulls with large eye sockets and numerous openings that reduce weight without sacrificing too much structural strength. Their broad, elongated bills are supported by the upper and lower jaws and are adapted primarily for grazing and tearing vegetation. In life, the bill is covered by a keratinous sheath called the rhamphotheca, which is absent on a cleaned skull.

This genuine Domestic Goose skull is a great example of avian skeletal anatomy and an interesting addition to any comparative anatomy or natural history collection. Also, considerably less likely to chase you than it was when the goose was using it.
