Inspired by the dramatic lighting and deep symbolism of 17th-century Dutch masters, this contemporary photograph titled 'Defier', was created as a profound memento mori (remember you must die). The image contrasts rich textures and vibrant colors of an opulent feast with the stark, glossy black of a raven's feathers, inviting contemplation on the fleeting nature of indulgence and life itself. 'Defier' is part of the ongoing Onweacnan series which encompasses works of neovictoriana still life.
Fine art photographic print made in-house on archival high gloss paper; each limited run print comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
