Santa must have a seriously heavy sled to need a whole team of these guys to pull it, as they are massive. Like, so big that the word “massive” fails to accurately describe how big they are. Not only are they gigantic, they are truly fascinating animals.

As you might have guessed, caribou (also known as reindeer) live in some of the coldest climates on Earth. Makes sense Santa has a whole bunch of them. Anyways, one thing you’ll notice is just how thick their fur is. It’s not just thick either, it’s hollow. This helps trap heat and even makes them more buoyant when swimming.

Speaking of which, despite living in some incredibly cold places, caribou aren’t afraid to go for a dip and are actually quite strong swimmers. They need to be, as during their yearly migrations they cross all sorts of rivers and lakes. Fun fact: some caribou herds make some of the longest land migrations on Earth, traveling up to 3,000 miles (5,000 km) a year. They have places to be and things to do.

This mount in particular is, as mentioned above, gigantic. If you’re looking for a centerpiece for a fireplace or just to add some North Pole vibes to your space, you can’t do any better than this.

Non-Conventional: If we are unable to ship via conventional methods, we recommend a taxidermy-specific carrier called Trophy Transport. Once purchased, we ask that you reach out to them to arrange shipping and payment. After that is done, we will work out the logistics and pickup with them.

We can also work with another carrier of your choice, but for taxidermy, they are generally the best and most affordable option since they do not need to crate the piece which is expensive.

All orders ship same or next business day with exception to oversized items. Those items will be identified in the description (Items such as large taxidermy, skulls or exceedingly heavy minerals).
