Coyotes are members of the Canidae family and share many traits with their relatives: wolves, dogs, foxes, and jackals. They are usually 32 to 37 inches long and weigh between 20 and 50 pounds, with their size falling somewhere between that of foxes and wolves. Coyotes have an incredible sense of hearing and smell. They can locate prey hiding under the snow using their ears. They also rely on their ears to avoid danger, detecting hunters and other potential threats from as far as one mile away. To avoid danger, they have developed a method of moving silently by walking on the tips of their toes. Not only are they stealthy, but coyotes can also achieve a speed of 40 miles per hour when chasing prey. They are also excellent swimmers, which pushes this amazing canine into the "jack of all trades" category.
All skulls and bones vary slightly in size and shape. You will receive a high quality specimen of the selected item but not the exact one pictured.
