Male
Stag beetles are one of the most spectacular looking insects in the world. They get their name because the male's large jaws look just like the antlers of a stag. As well as being one of the largest, they are somewhat rare for us to carry and generally sell out fast. They spend most of their life underground as larvae, only emerging for a few weeks to find a mate and reproduce. this species of stag beetle from the family Lucanide from the tribe Allotopus. Burnished golden with a bronze coloration, the propagation of light affects the luster of this stag beetle which makes it look metallic. They range in several regions of Southeast Asia, with the most abundant generations found in Myanmar and Indonesia Their beauty makes them one of the famous insects for collectors and truly a stand out specimen.
