Yep, it's 100% real. This beautiful specimen was born with two heads. But how did this happen? It is believed to be caused by a condition called dicephalic parapagus, which is a rare form of partial twinning when the embryo does not split properly during pregnancy. Another theory points to an inherited genetic condition that causes extra limbs and is passed through certain lines of Angus cattle. Whatever the case, it is one of the coolest and most unique mounts we have ever had. An absolute crown jewel for any taxidermy and oddity collection.
Animals born with dicephalic parapagus are generally do not survive long or are still born as was the case with this specimen. None of our oddities or taxidermy have been killed for the express purpose of display.
