Selenite, also known as satin spar, desert rose, or gypsum flower are four crystal structure varieties of the mineral gypsum. These four varieties of gypsum may be grouped together and called selenite. The name ‘Selenite’ derives from the Greek goddess Selene, the goddess of the moon. It’s easy to see why given it’s almost heavenly aura. According to metaphysics, selenite is a powerfully positive stone that embodies the qualities of the lunar light. Whatever room it is placed in will benefit from its cleansing. Anyone that holds it will benefit from its healing. We just recommend keeping it away from your werewolf friends seeing as Halloween is right around the corner. It may have an adverse effect on them.
