This bold ring was inspired by the myth of Narcissus, a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia. He was the son of the river god Cephissus and nymph Liriope, and he was breathtakingly handsome. His melancholy tale ended with his death, by drowning in a pool after falling in love with his reflection. The flower that bears his name sprang up from the spot that he perished.
The delicate 6mm x 12mm gemstone represents the reflective pool that Narcissus gazed into, curling foliage from the narcissus plant surrounds the stone. A horned Green Man figure adorns the sides, giving the ring the charm of a romantic Victorian garden.
