Calcite is a carbonate mineral that is often milky white or clear. In these geode formations, the calcite crystals are a sparkly white on the inside while the outside is brown or orange in color.

Apophyllite is a gemstone that's usually clear, white, yellow, pink, green, brown, or violet in color. It can also be transparent or opaque. Its name is derived from the Greek word 'apo', which means off, and 'phyllon', which means leaf. It roughly means 'to leaf apart'. It was given this name because a crystal like apophyllite tends to flake off or peel apart when exposed to heat because of the water molecules that are lost. So maybe don't take this specimen to a water park.

All minerals, gems, stones and fossils are guaranteed to be top quality; sourced from ethical vendors around the world. This is a large specimen that measures roughly a foot in height.
